Modernist construction pride ourselves on our brickwork. All of our tradesmen are city and guilds advanced craft qualified and none have any less than 15years experience in bricklaying.

We specialise in decorative brickwork built to your specification, whether it is a fireplace, retaining wall, garden wall or arch. No job is ever too small and is built with pride to last.

If you need that retaining wall replacing, your house re-pointed or some steps to your patio we can do it expertly. Circular walls to divide your garden up, brick planters, and ponds to house your fish, your idea; we'll build it.

Conservatory bases built to the exact measurements your installer requires, or simply defining your boundary with a wall of your choice; English bond, Flemish bond, stretcher bond to name a few. A couple of brick piers to make a grand entrance to your property or some brick piers between fence panels; we will build for your needs.

Been waiting for permission to build the garage? We will build it to your exact plans after the local authority has approved them.

A client recently asked us to re-open their fireplace and to see if it was suitable for use in the winter months. Our tradesmen did this and after a thouroughly good clean of the flue and chimney stack we completely re-built it to the client's design. Using brickettes (half size bricks) for the hearth and reclaimed bricks for the surround and jambs they now have a wonderful rustic fully working fireplace.

Fireplaces are a lovely feature in any front room but must always be checked and cleaned. a Also the stacks themselves above the roof line are prone to weather damage and often need re-pointing and in some case re-building entirely. We are happy to quote free of charge for any remedial work to yours
